I found the opposite the Harley guys around here are short as Harleys fit short guys better. I ride an Indian because it fits me better at 6ft 5 320 lbs it is much more comfortable. I am glad I bought an Indian because the Harley wanna-be tough guy image turns me off. The funniest thing I saw was my 6 ft 7 cousin on his Harley get his ass kicked by a 5ft 7 guy 170 lb on a Honda Goldwing so sorry no one is intimidated only insecure scared defenceless people but the last thing i want is to intimidate anyone and i avoid fighting at all cost do not need a record as I cleared mine from having a temper when I was a young stupid kid who put a cop in the hospital something I am still ashamed of but at the time bragged about it like an asshole. The only way I would fight is if I had no other choice like in self-defense but someone can call me anything i couldn't care less. When I was 20 I would punch them but at my age, I have grown up and would never do that. That is another reason people might hate them. Did you notice all the reasons you come up with have nothing to do with the riders and only flatter you sorry mate you're delusional. Also, no one is jealous that's something you created in your own mind because you're a narcisist. Indians are more expensive and no one is jealous of me. The reason people do not like them is the way a lot of Harley riders conduct themselves so maybe you might be creating reasons that will stoke your ego i think the latter is true. Harley riders are conformist and not rebellious in the true sense of the word they all ride the same bike and same brand which is conforming to me to want to fit in and be part of a pack. Of course, I am generalizing like you are sounds pretty stupid doesn't it like this video. Also, your story about chasing someone down and threatening them for flipping you off is another reason I would have just ignored that loser and gone on with my day you look awfully old to carry on like this. I kind of feel sorry for you mate you seem like a good guy except for your narcissism and insecurity around toughness. Were you picked on as a kid? Be careful you will meet someone bigger or smaller and tougher who does not give a shit and will either beat you into a hospital or shoot you I would not advise chasing someone down even the smallest guy could be deadly. Size does not mean anything.

Stock - the torque on my Road king came in at around 3k RPM, installing a torque cam dropped it to 2k RPM. This after purchase mod is a definite ‘need’ not a ‘want’ for me. Out of the factory the engines are not tuned to my liking and ride style.

Been rideing all sorts of bikes for around 40 yrs , a fxdb for the last few few , best bike yet , but have noticed last coupla yrs is hard to get a wave back from fellow riders , especially other harley riders , must be to much effort to wave back when tryin to be tuff , once upon a time every motorcycle rider you passed and waved to would wave back now not so often

Harleys rank so low in quality, reliability, performance, and looks, so why would you consider a Harley. Because of this one thing. They make middle-aged men feel tough. Spoken from Harleys marketing department. For me, this is not a reason to purchase a particular motorcycle.I'm already tough.I don't need to purchase an object to make me feel that way.

I was speeding through gears a few weeks ago, got up to fifth and went to downshift and didn't feel the shifter so I looked down and saw it was gone I was stuck in 5th for a lil over 6 miles, I didn't stop at stop signs and luckily I knew a route to get home without red lights. If you are working on your Harley or have someone else doing it make sure you put loctite or some adhesive on when tightening things down.

I was fortunate enough to have ridden my first dirt bike at 4-5 years old and always had one since till I was out of highschool I still rode but usually other people's bikes. Back in 2023 my dad passed from Pancreatic cancer and he left me his 100th anniversary softail deuce. I expected to be stressed out about other vehicles or being able to drive it in general it's a heavy ass bike, when it has all fluids in it, it weighs around 700+ lbs the first time I rode it I handled it like a Sportster I shocked myself at how confident and quick I took to pinning it wide open and testing how low I can get around corners

Always a hard topic to discuss with new riders as most of the time they are affected by the excitement of finally getting on a bike and feel they have something to prove. My mates and I are always just telling them to ride to they limits and conditions. We will have their backs when needed! A good ride at the end of the day is the one where you return home safely! I’m glad you mentioned anger. Riding under the influence of anger (or even bad mood) is hugely under rated. I simply don’t touch the bike or the car if I’m in bad mood and I wish other people did the same. Some of the most dangerous and awkward situations I’ve seen out there have been triggered by anger. I don’t know if it’s the general though economic situation most of the world is going through at the moment, but lately I see more and more of it.

Working for years in Motors and as a training officer the importance of slow speed maneuvers separates those who will pass and who will fail, in fact, no one advances in the motor officers class until they can do slow speed turns and u-turns. This does not mean you cannot ride a motorcycle or Harley for that matter but a beginner may want to start on a lighter bike like a Softail because if you cannot master the basics on a 500 lb bike your mistakes are going to be amplified 10 fold on something like a Road Glide which is tipping the scale at 900 plus pounds with the rider. I've seen people who have told me they've been riding 20 plus years go wide in turns, not be able to make a u-turn or for that matter make a u-turn on a 2 lane highway or cannot swerve their bike effectively because they refuse to lean their bike which is a recipe for disaster on the roadway for both the rider and other drivers. Great video... 👍👍👍

The only problem is some of this advice will lead to traffic tickets lol lane splitting is illegal in my state. Also, getting to the front of traffic often requires going 20+ mph over the speed limit. I like going fast, it makes sense to get to the front as suggested, but I can't afford a speeding or reckless driving ticket... what's the advice for that?
